On Wednesday Jan. 25 at 2:00 pm, David Szanto be giving a talk at the Westmount Public Library on the Eco-Gastronomy Project, his 14-country knowledge-exchange project about food and food systems. This is the final event of the 18-month project, and so he will be telling some of the stories from my time on the road.
Also, on Friday Jan. 13, starting at about 12:30 pm, he will be demo-ing a version of his Eco-G presentation on the Library’s new multitouch table, an interactive screen-based interface for presenting multimedia content. It’s something between a public-facing digital humanities platform and a giant iPad… The Eco-G presentation will continue to live on the multitouch table after the 13th, so it can be viewed at any time.
Tickets need to be picked up in advance at the Library’s main desk.
